Does Homemark adhere to the Consumer Protection Act and Policies?
As a quality South African brand, Homemark prides their business on adhering to all policies and regulations, including the CPA (Consumer Protection Act). This Act aims to provide the individual consumer with certain rights and protection. Homemark is committed to operating our business in terms of the Consumer Protection Act and all policies are subject to the applicable law. Homemark commits and aims to uphold the principles of the Act in all of our dealings with you, whether it is through the marketing of the product, the actual sale of the product or after-sale support and service.

Safety
- All of our products are accompanied with instructional material and comprehensive packaging. Our products clearly state should a product, ingredient or accessory be hazardous to your health or cause you harm may cause you harm.
- This information will be found on the packaging, where you will also find adequate instructions on how to use the goods.
- Should the product be harmful to your health, Homemark ensures to clearly indicate the consultation of a doctor or medical practitioner in their marketing, packaging and additional instructional material.

Queries and Complaints
As a consumer you have various options to address any comment, suggestion or complaint with us. Homemark has a fully operational Customer Call Centre which will gladly assist with any query you might have. All of our queries are addressed in a professional, fair and respectful manner.
Are any Homemark Products excluded from the 14 day exchange or refund policy?
- The products that are non-returnable and non exchangeable are:
- Undergarments, shavers, toothbrushes and other personal care items.
- Software, CD’s, DVD’s and pre-recorded videos are protected by copyright law. Unless there is a manufacturing defect in the goods, you can only return these goods if they are still in the original condition as sold and the packaging has not been opened yet.
- Any product where Homemark has disclosed it to be used, damaged, defective, repaired, are not to be exchanged or refunded.
What if I purchased product and it doesn’t fulfil the purpose I initially bought them for?
- If you indicated a particular purpose for which you intend using the goods to a salesperson / call centre agent or any of marketing materials confirmed that you will be able to use the product for that specific purpose, you may return the product within 14 working days after you purchased it if it turns out that the goods are not suitable for the purpose you anticipated and indicated to the salesperson.
- Subject to our rights in law Homemark has the right to charge you for use and to get the goods fit for re-stocking; in certain cases Homemark will be able to give you a refund.
What should i do if my product is not working or functioning properly?
- Within the first 6 months after you received them from Homemark , Homemark will repair them, replace them or give you a refund, provided that it is a material defect, and that the defect did not develop as a result of abuse, fair wear and tear, or through not following our or the manufacturer’s and marketing additional instructional materials.
- If the product shows a defect after the initial 6 month period, but still within the manufacturer’s warranty period, Homemark will send the goods to the manufacturer for repair and the manufacturer will decide whether you have a valid claim and if so, whether they will repair, replace or refund.
- If the product becomes defective once the manufacturer’s warranty has expired, Homemark can arrange with the manufacturer or its agent to repair them. No repairs will be done without you approving a quotation first.
